Jeremy Lin

So, I was watching ESPN this morning and they interviewed Carmelo asking him will he and Lin play well together. And for some reason I was baffled by why the media is putting emphasis on will Lin and Carmelo mesh. Quite frankly, they have no other option to mesh, Carmelo is a team player so why wouldn’t he mesh well with Lin or vice verses? Lin is another threat for new york, he’s 23 and he’s still learning, although he’s dominating right now I believe working with Melo will do nothing but enhance his game. Lin is nothing more than a regular sophomore- who just happen to be dominating ONLY because Carmelo is out. Now, let me ask this would anyone know who Lin was if Chancey didn’t get hurt? I’m not taking anything away from Lin; I absolutely love his game, but the fact that the media is making it seem like oh this Asian American is the best thing ever without him the knicks are nothing…ummm as if they weren’t winning before Melo got hurt.

I do believe that Lin’s story is different and that New york has a playing style that caters to Lin, but instead of trying to make it seem as if Carmelo isn’t a team player, how about they put emphasis on how much of a threat the Knicks will be once everyone is healthy. Also, why must we(media) compare players? Lin to Tebow? Really? is it really that serious? I believe Lin deserves his praise but come on now its getting ridiculous. Besides if you look at his status in college, he wasn’t a bum. He is different from everyone else (looks) but he’s doing what a point guard is suppose to do, and that’s what he’s use to doing this is how he played in college!

Idk…I just think they should focus on the positive rather than trying to make something out of nothing.

:) Good morning and have a good day!
